The quaint L-shaped living and dining area is furnished with craftsman style decor.  It has a full kitchen, complete with stove, microwave, refrigerator & coffee maker.  The bathroom has a shower with a standard size jetted tub.  Outside is a large deck.  The west end of the deck overlooks Lake Lucerne, while the large deck area on the East side features a table and chairs next to a large gas grill.  This provides the perfect area for dining outside while enjoying the views.  Even though this cabin feels secluded in the woods, you still have functional features such as cable tv and wifi.

You will find that there are many attractions and excellent dining options in Eureka Springs. This cabin is only 5 minutes from downtown Eureka Springs.

Enjoy peaceful walks around the lake.  Fishing is allowed, but it is catch and release.  There is not a swimming area at the lake, but you are welcome to bring your canoe, kayak, or paddle board to explore.

History: According to an 1892 publication, Lake Lucerne is a natural spring-fed lake. The original lake was dammed by a natural ledge of rock, the water eventually eroded through the rock and dropped the lake level. The natural dam was repaired and built up to the point that the lake was 20′ deep in some places.

Over the years, the lake has been named Crystal Lake, Spring Lake, and Sanitarium Lake. (Despite the fact that the sanitarium was never built there). It was the perfect resort property and was a prized location for picnics, boating and horseback riding. There are several references-including old post cards-referring to it as Spring Lake up until the mid-twenties. At that time, the lake was sold to Richard Thompson, who also owned Ozarka Water company and had been president of Crescent College and Conservatory. Mr. Thompson eventually established it as “Lake Lucerne Resort”. He built cabins, pavilions for dancing and for dining, a hotel, a bath house, and a golf course. For years, it was one of the most exclusive resort properties in the area.

This cabin features the original interior and exterior features that made this resort picturesque at the time it was developed. It truly feels like you are stepping back in time to a gone-by era of luxury log cabins.

Note:  This cabin is on a gravel road which may not be suitable for motorcycles.  Additionally, there is only room for one vehicle.  If you have a trailer, or will be expecting guests, please notify us and request special accomodations.  (This house only sleeps 2).

The cabin was as advertised! On the edge of the lake away from the other cabins & away from the day to day traffic. Very close to the town & all amenities you may need! We utilised the laundromat next to Harts grocery store less than 5 mins away. The cabin is perfect for a couple looking to enjoy the peace & quiet!

I would like to take this time out to thank you guys for allowing us the opportunity to rent your cabin. We had a great time, the cabin was so comfortable and was very well equipped. It was a little Piece of Heaven. We will most definitely rent the cabin again. Once again thank you.

I was very pleased with this cabin. It is clean, well appointed, and very quiet and peaceful . I would recommend this property for anyone who is looking for a cabin that provides you with comfort, modern amenities and the peacefull serenity of the Ozarks.

My husband & I stayed here for a kid-free getaway this past weekend. The treehouse was exactly what we wanted… so quaint, peaceful & relaxing. The location is secluded, yet only a few minutes from town. We went sight-seeing during the day & even went hiking around Lake Leatherwood. At night we cooked, drank wine & tackled a 1000-piece puzzle (which we left for the next guests to enjoy). The cabin has wifi but I w opted to use it only to stream Pandora. We are already planning another trip back!

Great hideaway just outside of Eureka Springs.

This was the first time we have stayed at the Lake Lucerne Treehouse Cabin although we visit Eureka Springs regularly. We wanted somewhere to distress after the election so picked this because of the lake and the seclusion. It was perfect for that. Only a couple of minutes to get onto the main road to Eureka Springs so very convenient. The cabin is definitely older but very well maintained and on the side of a mountain overlooking Lake Lucerne. Lake Lucerne is really a very large pond but in it’s heyday was the sight of lots of revelry. The cabin was very comfortable but beware that there are a few strange decorations if you are an animal lover as in the boar’s head looking down at the bed and the antelope leg Native American relic. We hid leg in a drawer and threw a towel over the boar-lol. It was a wonderful stay. Just what we wanted and we will definitely stay there again.

Nice quiet couple of cabins tucked in a little valley with a big pond less than 5 mins from downtown area.
